Randi Fontanez: Foodbank Co-Laborer

When we are provided for, it's sometimes difficult to notice a need in others around you. A few years back,
I wanted to help others in need because that's what I enjoyed doing -- helping. My first Tuesday helping at Food Bank, I was AMAZED
at how many people are in need of food! My wanting to help and my enjoyment of helping quickly became a burning desire.
It was no longer about me, but about helping everyone God placed in my path. God has blessed me to be a part of a ministry
where we reach out to people who are outside the church and hopefully they see the love of God in all of us. Matthew. 25:23 reads "For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited
me in." As I help stock the pantry, greet someone, hand out a bag of food, do paperwork or do any of the other duties the Lord allows me to do, I give praise to God for His provision. May the meager work of my hands bless those He allows me to serve and may their hearts as well as their bodies be fed. In Jesus name!
