A Message from Reverend Michael Kelly

I was born and raised in downtown Jersey City, so I am deeply concerned about social issues such as poverty, gang violence and the alarming increase of AIDS infection among our youth. The faithful members of Riverside Assembly of God have worked diligently to help Riverside Cares Community Development Center become a reality and my desire is to make a difference in people's lives. For instance, though our community food bank serves 400 families each month, we want to help people feed themselves.

Ministry is not a position; it is a calling. It is also an alarm that must be heard, and I want you to hear it as well. Ministry is the heartbeat of God himself. The only thing that ever matters is people. Riverside Cares has left the walls of a building to enter a real world with real people who have real problems and are searching for the real solution. I believe Riverside Cares has the solution?people with experiences they are willing to use as the basis of their demonstrated compassion and love. Will you allow us to become part of your world? I promise you that Riverside Cares will strive to meet your most basic need of all: unconditional love!
