Infant through Preschool
Genesis Day School is proud to be licensed and accredited by the state of New Jersey. Genesis is a clean, loving, protective environment where your children will learn, dance, sing, play, and be creative. The Nursery classes currently utilize The Pinnacle Curriculum. This academic base helps the children learn letters and colors, developing critical hand-eye coordination. Every teacher is specifically trained in early learning development to best help accelerate the growth of your child. Music, visual tools, singing and one-on-one teaching are all part of the Genesis learning process.

Elementary (K to 4th grade)
The scholastic foundation implemented at Genesis Academy for grades K-4 is the A Beka Curriculum. This accelerated program includes a very strong phonics and writing module. As a result, GEC kindergarten students develop advanced reading skills and it’s amazing to watch them grow from “scribbling” to actually writing full sentences! As the students progress through the grades, they are motivated to consistently refine and sharpen their skills in Math, Science and History. In addition to advanced academics, Spanish, Music, Gym and Chapel are a part of their instruction.

Junior High School (5th to 8th Grade)
Genesis Junior High offers a scholastic program that is quite unique in its concepts and objectives. Prior to entering this phase of study, a student must be tested in Math, Language, Writing and Reading. The intense testing helps the administrator identify any academic gaps the child may have. A “gap” is any concept that may have been missed in prior years and is identified and built up before the school year begins. The Alpha/Omega Curriculum is a Life Pac System that allows the students to work at their proper level for the next three years. It is never assumed that because a child is at a particular grade level they can perform all the work required for that level. The goal is excellence at all levels of the student’s growth and the GEC staff work diligently, one-on-one with them to ensure they get the education they need. Additionally, students in these grades have Music, Gym, Spanish and Computer classes to provide a well-rounded course of study.

School Director
Mrs. Donna Kelly has worked in the field of education for over 28 years, serving as a teacher and director. She is a graduate of NJCU with a BA in Elementary Education. Her heart has always been for children and her responsibilities go way beyond overseeing the safety and education of the children. Mrs. Kelly still teaches, keeping close to the students, faculty, parents and her “passion”!

School Administrator
Reverend Kelly is a graduate of NJCU, earning a double major in History and Psychology with a BS in Secondary Education. He is also a graduate of the Berean University. He currently serves as Senior Pastor of Riverside Assembly of God after serving as a youth pastor for more than 18 years. His desire is to see young lives transformed, as they become a vital part of their society. Pastor Kelly still teaches at the Junior High level, helping to prepare the students for the rigors of high school learning.

Head Teacher
Ruby Armooh is a dynamic, beloved teacher who has devoted her life to educating children. As a young woman in her native home of Ghana, she received the “call” to teach and pursued her dream. She received her degree in education and went on to become a certified teacher. This godly woman displays grace and the love of Christ as she helps nurture the intellect and character of the children she teaches. This three time nominee for “Teacher of the Year” utilizes her experience and proficiency to oversee the academic well-being of the academy serving as second in charge to the director. She is a wonderful blessing to Genesis and an essential part of the faculty.
